U15s Match Report

Clark Drive 2 - 7 FC Kilmarnock Ladies U15's

Killie returned with the three points after quite a physical encounter with their neighbours from along the A71.
Straight from kick off they pressed high and had their opponents on the back foot for most of the half. Danielle Mullen opened the scoring, followed by a wonderful strike from outside the box from Abigail Eadie and a cool finish from Holly Hart making it 3-0.
Clark Drive did take control in midfield for a short spell, and it was during this period they snatched a goal back. A lovely strike from Devon Cunningham. Spotting the goalkeeper off her line, she hit the top corner with a cracking effort. Laura Thomson then made amends as she saved magnificently low down to her left following another snapshot from the Clark Drive midfielder.
The Killie midfield then regained the initiative, and it was no surprise when the girls added a fourth. Another top effort from outside the box, this time Kari Stewart supplying the power. Abigail Eadie then added her second to send Killie into the break 5-1 to the good
The second period continued with the same pattern, Killie in total control, and the game was finished as a contest when Kari Stewart bagged her second, and Killie's sixth.
Clark Drive did add a second when a high ball was missed by the away team's defence and was deposited in the corner by Megan Armstrong, before Danielle Mullen rounded off the scoring for Killie with a smart finish from a Holly Kerrigan cut back.
A good performance from the full squad left the coaching staff happy with the progress this season so far.

     Well done girls, good job!!
