The club have released a statement this evening about goalkeeper Craig Samson being freed. Craig made his debut for the club back in January 3rd 2004 in a 1-3 loss to Aberdeen, but that was his only first team appearance before leaving and returning again nearly a decade later to the club he started out at.
“Kilmarnock FC and Craig Samson have mutually agreed the termination of
Craig’s contract, which had entered its final season. The club would
like to record its thanks to Craig for his dedication and
professionalism and wishes him every success in the future.”
Last year was not a good one for any of our players and Craig came in for what could be considered some 'over the top' criticism, but he always tried his best and leaves with our best wishes for the future.
